Nominee for Sudbury School Committee

With the future of our school district in mind, I'm throwing my hat into the ring and am excited to join this year's race for the Sudbury School Committee! My aim is to ensure that every student has access to a safe and supportive learning environment with plenty of opportunity for growth.

​Last summer, I was appointed to the Sudbury School Committee, by a joint vote of the School Committee and Select Board. It has been a tremendous honor that I cherish deeply. It has provided me with experience in the role and a more in-depth understanding of what is needed long term. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to earn your support on election day.

Why am I running for Sudbury School Committee?

It is a top priority for me to ensure our district is dedicated to providing our students with the best education and environment for their growth and success.

The pandemic has taken a heavy toll on the mental health of our students, amplifying pre-existing issues and creating new challenges. Our amazing and dedicated teachers are seeing these challenges in the classroom and our families are seeing them at home. Now more than ever, it is essential to prioritize our youth's emotional well-being as they try and cope in this unprecedented time.  This requires us to recognize and respond to their acute mental health needs.  It's essential that we take decisive steps now in order to ensure a bright future for our next generation of leaders.   

While mental health is on the forefront , we must also strive to simultaneously support our students academic "post pandemic catch up". I feel a great responsibility to lead the charge in creating a culture that supports the overall mental wellness and encourages continued efforts in academic achievement.

If given the opportunity to serve, I will diligently work to ensure all of our students reach their maximum potential to succeed. I will also honor my responsibility to the taxpayer to manage this role in a fiscally responsible manner while meeting the needs of our students and families.  Our future looks brighter when we invest in the development of our youth.
